    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Just taken everything out of the box and put the battery on charge. Everything is imminent. There aren't any instruction in the box which I thought was forgetful. But in the face of it... a few different types of attachments and three screws isn't going to throw me off track much.. the xshifter...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

I'll let you know when I've done it. I was busy with other things at the weekend.

    Crash due to flat tire

Faceplant on a DF usually is a trip to the dentist. Not to mention the concussion. It's weird. On the DF 52 kph doesn't seem so fast as 52 on the Vendetta however I know for sure I would prefer to be on the Vendetta if anything were to go wrong. The bars and edge of the seat on the vendetta...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

I'll cement an aluminium strip in with two holes so I can screw it into place. When the dual control is sent to me I will remove the 1x xshifter and put it on the hybrid bike.

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Ok... what do you reckon, shall I cement it or wait an endless amounts of weeks for a new gear changer of a bar end type?

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

It's what I'm thinking of trying. My track bike antics have been working well. My aero track bike with gears is no way UCI approved but it saves me an awful number of watts and it's faster as it's so aero. Certainly irritates all those riders with fast UCI approved aero bikes that weigh around...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

The unboxing. It arrived today. It was for 1x systems and it wasn't my Kickstarter pledge but I am thankful. It means that I can get out on my V this weekend.

That's quite a blog you have got. Works really well on the mobile. Loved the pictures. What blog-ware do you use?

    Rotor Q-ring advice

Most definitely... QXL rings would work better with a clutch deurallier such as the Shimano ultegra RX 800. I stopped using the QXL because of the chain drop. Pretty sure the deurallier will work.

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

I'm not going to push it. Let's just see what comes. I'm riding the V on one chainring at the moment so I don't mind what comes. It would be great though if I could get the pledge, that was for a dual controller.

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

What a surprise. The xshifter I ordered is imminently on its way! I got an email from Paul to complete the order with a contact telephone number and he will send it out. I'm really really pleased. My vendetta is really waiting for this update patiently. I have a long chainstay boom set up and...

    Getting Off the Fence

I second that. If you want extra suspension go with the new Silvio... you can fit bigger tires on 28mm+. The best idea is to keep the front light and easy to control. Just go with something easy and next year upgrade to the new hydraulic deurallier 1x13 speed drive chain from Rotor. As it's...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Forever waiting. I even ordered an extra one from their website thinking that would get to me before the backing one. Guessed wrong.. serious issues with this start up. Paul (ceo) says the right things and gets the market into a frenzy. ... my v20 has been lame waiting for this update.

    hot, very hot

You can get special arm sleeves... They are called sugoi ... just douse them with water once in a while and they keep you cooler. I also have a head band called a halo that's really good at stopping the salty eye syndrome.

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

I meant the body's keto threshold level. I know it sounds crazy but I also go into ketosis at spiritual retreats but that's probably because I just eat salads LOL

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

That's what I've been told too. Your metabolism adjusts quicker if you are on the keto boarderline.

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

Lately my V has just been in the garage. The DF I've been riding oddly enough feels faster up the hills but looking at Strava, I'm no where near the times of the Vendetta. The only benefit for riding a DF seems to be burning the calories but you can do that with a V by just not eating the carbs...

    Generic upgrade concepts

You keep a couple of links in your saddle bag, you can repair a chain. Carbon direct drive... if it's going to break it will do so big time and cost big money. I don't see it being a feasible idea. Maybe they use that technology with something different than cycling. Something that needs a light...
