    First Crash On the Vendetta

Yep... that was a fall. There was something brown very close to the kirb. Was it a drain cover? You were probably aware of the car behind you, some uneven ground coming your way and the acceleration of the bike. Whatever it was you tried to correct the initial wobble, and over corrected and down...

    Hot in Essex

Yep I bet you filled with water without needing a restroom? Hydration is a black art. I remember cycling in Cordoba in 36c. I drank as much as I could and I was still overheating . Believe me, it's not good getting your core temperature too high. It's dangerous. Best to get up at 7am and get...

    thicker ventisit pad

Tell me about it. I have to get up at 7 for a ride otherwise I cook. It's interesting what dehydration does to the power numbers. Just keep adjusting the bike and maximising it's aero capability. That includes the shape of the engine. Lately I find it pays to suffer. And that's the thing ...

storing and eating/drinkin for long rides (100+ miles) on Silvio or Vendetta

If I'm going to do a long ride then I put myself into ketosis a few weeks before then I just burn the pizzas I ate the month previous. I noticed by analysing froomy's data that burning carbs is giving him better watts to kilos so if you wanted a long fast run you would need a lot of support...

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

I noticed that sometimes with polarized lenses that you get fooled sometimes by the rough road layout... I've stopped using polarized lenses when riding. Not sure if anyone else has experienced that?

    how to stop wobbling

Oh well... funny. No one has ever told me that. They have said "getting a sun tan" though. So as it's getting hot remember to put the sun block on.

    thicker ventisit pad

I only use it in the summer as it helps with the ventilation. Riding a DF might be 30% harder to go the same speed but it's sure nice to have all that rushing air around you. Having the ventisit delux on the Vendetta allows you to persepire effectively. The fabric is abrasive so it's good to...

    how to stop wobbling

You've got lots to think about but another thing to throw in the pot is trying to keep your shoulder blades pinned to the seat. You should have a nice hand feather touch on the bars and the leg action / reaction is against the seat. Don't get too comfortable at this as you will go to sleep.

    how to stop wobbling

From behind it looks slightly twitchy. When it twitches the body seems to overcomponsate. You have quite a lot on your bars so I couldn't quite see the rotation of the right knee. You seem stronger on your right side than left. When cadence is high the twitch is more noticeable. When I cycle I...

    New to cruzbike

Ok... another incredible bit of advice in going fast. Get those wheels balanced. I kid you not. At 50 kph and above , you really want your ride to be smooth. Once you balance your wheels you will be amazed.

Things to can do on a TT bike that you can't do on a Cruzbike

Hi Jason, I'm impressed with how smooth the video is. Special effects or some sort of gibal?

    Comfortable Vendetta brevet setup

The v2 stock bars are well wide salsa woodchipper cut down a little might be the best bet. Have a look on the forum. Many riders have gone with salsa ... they do other bars that might be the better for you depending on reach.

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

If I am doing a ride that has a stopover for lunch then I prefer to be on a DF. I enjoy DF"s for a recovery ride or city sight seeing. If I want to go for a long ride or for speed with a huge adrenalin rush then I use the Vendetta. I find the V is better exercise for my core muscles than my DF...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

I've even ordered one from their website. Still hasn't come. Guess I have to be patient like that disastrous company speedx ... a whole lot of money down the plug hole on that one. Still if it does what it's supposed to... I'll be really happy.

    New to cruzbike

If you can do 40kph on the flat pedalling at about 100 rpm then going down hill at 35 seems crazy to freeze up. Instead of stop pedalling try to continue pedalling but not with so much power. If it's a low gradient the wind resistance won't over accelerate you. I find if I stop pedalling then I...

    Anyone gone down yet?

Generally with these cruzbikes you will fall out of the side and yes as they have a lower c of g you will see many experienced riders lift their shoulders off the back of the seat for manuverability ,when going around bends , as it raises your c of g. Sometimes everything happens very quickly...
