    New Silvio in stock

I really like the new I really like the new frame. I was a little shocked to see the removable seat, but on the other hand, why not? As somebody already mentioned, this does open up options as far as packing the bike for road trips. I can see where it would be a good thing. I...

    Longtime Cruzer checking in

I never saw Jack, so not sure I never saw Jack, so not sure if he went, or not. The ride was pretty good, if not a little fast. The bummer was, my friend that has been riding specifically to get ready for this ride, broke his foot at work a couple days before. It was a beautiful day and...

Getting started on my first conversion!

Got lucky, didn't Got lucky, didn't you!??! That's a great frame to build on and good wheels to work with. Great find!! Ditch the knobbies, though and buy some high pressure road tires. You'll be much happier. Take your time and build it right the first time. Most of all...

    24" donor

On my 24" conversion, I put On my 24" conversion, I put 650c wheels and tires on it and run road calipers on it. Doug was kind enough to machine a block for my back break, which bolts up to the kickstand bracket, but the temporary fix I had used worked, also. My 24" frame was a Trek rigid...

    Okay, Saturday project done.

I love it.  The only thing I I love it. The only thing I would do is lose that big tall stem and get the handlebar lower. You might get away flipping it upside down, if you can get knee clearance. I'd lay the seat waaaaay back as soon as I felt comfortable with my control of the bike...

I just took a closer look at I just took a closer look at your bike and I see v brake studs on that fork. I see no issues with the fork. I'm back to questioning the frame. Mark

I own this bike, will it make a good donor?

In order to get the seat low In order to get the seat low as possible, you would have to mount it all the way back. I see two problems. First, you would have to seriously bend the seat post and the other thing is, you would be moving a lot of your weight too far back. In all fairness...

    Locking Cruzbike's

I don't do locks.  I park my I don't do locks. I park my bike where I can keep an eye on it. If anybody tries to ride it away, I can saunter out, take my frame pump off and whack em over the head with it, since they probably will still be figuring out how to even get on it. Mark

I own this bike, will it make a good donor?

Unless you're about 7'3", Unless you're about 7'3", that bike will be a tough fit, as others have said. DO NOT hack the frame up. Been done and it's not safe! As to the fork, can't you grind the disc brake mounts off? Mark
