    Did you ride today?

Third Day of Commuting By Bike to Work It was a windy one here in South Carolina. Currently, I am riding a Magna Fix-D single-speed/fixed bike that I picked up on clearance for $35. It's heavy, but the price was hard to say no to. As I crested hills and was nearly brought to a complete...

Extended length Quick Release for front wheel - where to buy spare part

I can not imagine that this I can not imagine that this prticular QR skewer is proprietary to Cruzbike. There are many different options in length dependent upon the application. Perhaps look into skewers for tandem bicycles; the rear hubs on a tandem is wider than it's single road bike...

    First Ride of 2013

Biked to Work Today Over the weekend, I picked up a fixed-gear bike from Target for $35.00 on clearance. I couldn't wait to try it out, so I decided to bike to work today, a 27-mile round trip route. After spending most of last year off the bike it feels amazing to be able to ride once again...

    First Ride of 2013

Thanks, John A friend and I were discussing that very thing around the holidays. There are so many people we "know", even though we never met face-to-face. The interesting thing is that these relationships are no less significant than ones we develop in real life, for want of a better term...

    First Ride of 2013

Thank you all I don't get choked up too much, but this has been a very hard day for me and my family. My father, who will be 90 in August fell in the house and broke his hip. Being 9 hours away from him is hard, but he has already undergone surgery as of this afternoon and his doctors are...

    First Ride of 2013

Weather is the best part. Hey Eric. Thanks for the reply and indeed, the weather is my favorite part of being in the South. Having spent most of my life in Pittsburgh, I have seen my fill of snow and cold temperatures. I do miss the city and the unique culture, however. As for my bike, its a...

    First Ride of 2013

Last year around this time, I was officially diagnosed with Graves Disease and had spent most of 2012 off the bike. Today I ventured out for my first ride of the year. I covered less than 7.5 miles, but it felt so freeing to be back on the bike.

Any New Production Techniques on the Silvio?

John Tolhurst Can Answer You, But... As far as I know, the latest iteration of the Silvio included advances such as the curved boom and removable seat shells, first seen on the Vendetta. I would imagine that advances made with the new Vendetta will either eventually trickle down the line to a...

    Loving My New Silvio

Better than a P-38 at Climbing? Wow! That is truly saying something as the P-38 is known all over for it's climbing ability. I look forward to taking a Silvio up into the Mountains of North Carolina in the not so distant future. I am also looking forward to getting a Silvio because I am working...

Receiving or Giving a Cruzbike for Christmas?

Well, no Cruzbike under my tree, but... I did get a mini-doughnut maker, so I guess I'll need to get back on the bike soon to offset all these delicious calories I've consumed!

    Braze On Adapter Size

You won't need a clamp-on You won't need a clamp-on adapter for your silvio as the design accomodates a standard braze-on type front derailleur.

Receiving or Giving a Cruzbike for Christmas?

Who here is getting, hoping to get or giving a Cruzbike for Christmas? I've never had the typical "bike under the tree" experience, but I was wondering if any of you might get to relive that joy of childhood this year.

Getting Started? Do you mean how long does it take for your bike to arrive or how long will it take for you to learn to ride it?

Should I lubricate my pin before inserting?

I say grease it. I have always subscribed to the idea of putting a thin film of grease on anything that makes metal-to-metal contact, specifically when it comes to bicycle assembly. I may be wrong, but I certainly think it will not hurt.

Looking to try Cruzbike in Atlanta

Contact Cruzbikers in Your Area The best bet is to contact other Cruzbike owners in your area. I am not too far from you, so maybe if you're in Columbia, SC in the near future, the date will coincide with when I have a Cruzbike you can take for a test ride.

    Did you ride today?

Thanksgiving Day Ride I took my two girls out for a short ride on Thanksgiving. I was on my soon-to-be-sold Peugeot (have to raise funds and clear garage space for a Cruzbike!). It was great, even after my youngest got a flat and we had to walk the remaineder home :)
