    Did the bunny deliver?

Went to Las Vegas for Easter (visiting family, not gambling). I never turned a pedal. I feel so..... dirty! Mark

    Short cranks

Jack, Did you get those done local, or did you have Mark Stonich do those? I'm planning on putting a shorty triple on my bike, as well. I sure like the way those 155 mm RPM cranks wind up, but I can't get used to the double. Also, I want a standard 52/42/30 instead of the 50/36. Mark

    Cassette Clearance

Mamoka, I wasn't so worried about you being able to run it extended like that; more so I was curious to see if there was any point where it WOULD clear. It seems like that cassette is not the best for everybody of all leg lengths. Mark

    Cassette Clearance

Try something for me. Adjust your TFT out farther (don't forget to loosen the QR so you don't flex the stays) and see if there is a point where the chain will go to the 13 with no rub. Mark

    Longest Day on My Silvio

The first century is always the toughest and it's the same with doubles. So much of it is mental and once you know you can do something, it's much easier the next time. It ain't nothin' but a thing, brother! Mark

    Longest Day on My Silvio

I'm going to do double centuries, that's what I'm building up to. I have no interest in metric doubles. Thanks for the links, though! Mark

    Cane Creek, Rockshock Dart 3...

TD2, It looks like you can still flip the seat post clamp to the inside of the rails and lower the post some more. You might not have to bend the post. Nice looking ride can't wait to hear how she rides Mark

    Longest Day on My Silvio

A friend of mine that I used to do double centuries with told me about a route he had found. He told me it was 135-140 miles and I reckoned I was about ready for such a feat, so yesterday (Sat. 4/5) was the day. We met at the regular starting place as usual. Our club president toyed with the...

    Rear Brake Cable Routing

The new ones still has a cable stop by the head tube, but the cable is left long and internally routed instead of following the contours of the seats. There are also cable guides on the TFT. There are pictures by Brewmaster: Mark

    Rear Brake Cable Routing

I think when I did it on a road bike, I ran a coat hanger through and fished it through. I don't remember. My Silvio doesn't have such fancities. Is that a word? :?: Good job figuring it out! Mark

    It’s Alive, IT’S ALIVE

Thanks for posting the pics over here, Pete. I think you'll get a handle on the bike pretty quickly... Be mindful of your hips... They can be your friend, but they can be your worst enemy. Keep in mind where the steering is, basically right between your legs. Too much hip action is bad...
