    Brewmaster's First Ride Report!

It's only just begun, Jamie..... Know that! Good report and glad you had fun. Be mindful of your hips as sudden "body english" moves like you would make on a RWD bike can and will get you real squirrely real fast. This can be a good thing for evasive maneuvers, but a bad thing when you least...

    Riding with the hardcores

Two weeks with only a few days of riding left me wanting, no... needing to really beat myself up. Of all the groups going out today, only one had anything close to what I did in mind and that was the 4 group, the most hardcore guys and girls. We started out and I was more than a little...

    Cruzmota

While generally I agree that there are too many cars on the road and gasoline is dirty/expensive, the electric thing is a double-edged sword. First of all, here in the US, road upkeep is largely paid for by gasoline taxes. Less gasoline sold means less money for repairs. Also, electricity...

    Poor Man's Silvio?

This recall was brought to my attention by a friend and co-member of our bicycle club that also reads this forum (thanks, Craig!). As you say, Lev, mine is an older model and shouldn't be a problem. I will keep an eye on that joint, just the same! Thanks for the heads up! Mark

    BROL Bike of Year Awards

That would obviously be Mark in his powerranger suit   The Powerranger suit! I almost forgot, but you had to go and remind me. Pity that classic bit of humor wend down the drain in the great Dark Lord Debacle, along with over four hundred of my posts in the same threads as DL's...

  Yeah, but he can hook you up with plans to build a quadcycle out of PVC pipe.... That should qualify him for a pass, no?  Mark

video from Ride Across North Carolina

Thanks, Jim... The OS models are on my list of considerables, but I keep reading the same comments you made. I may end up homebrewing something. Mark

    BROL Bike of Year Awards

It's the shiny bauble syndrome. I never even heard of the bike until Dec., but it's been the subject of a lot of breeze on the forum, so I guess it has everybody's attention. I hope all the people that sucker into that bike like trying to gear up that 20" wheel and getting their leg hair...

    BROL Bike of Year Awards

OK, I don't get it. Editors choice- Carbent Sea Dragon. Totally one dimensional, ho-hum high racer made from plastic. OK. Peoples Choice- Raptobike lowracer. WTF? Nobody even has one and it wins bike of the year? It's just a shiny bauble, people! I think a lot of these people...

    change your shift cables

When needed. Most have a wear line and when you meed that, they need to go. You can keep brake pads fresh by touching them with a flat file once in a while to remove the glazing. Mark

    change your shift cables

They say you should change your cable housings from time to time, as well. Don't forget brake cables, either. Mark

    Cruzmota

I actually got the Infinity on the road a little today. I was shocked the tires held air, so I threw a bottom bracket and crankset on, installed some brake pads, lubed up the chain and rode it down the street. Not too bad for a 16 year old bike. A $36 bike, at that! Mark

I've never seen that Razor on Sun's site, or in JB Importers online catalog. Is the Razor available? At what pricepoint? Mark

    Mark's Project

It will transport on the rear rack pretty easily. I took the wheels off to bring it home, but I wouldn't have had to. I had it in the back of my mind I was going to let a friend of mine ride it for awhile to convert him to recumbents. He busted himself up pretty badly in a few auto and...

    Mark's Project

Definitely not Cruzbike, definitely not FWD, but this is my latest project. I've been wanting to try a LWB for a long time and this was a deal I could not pass up on. Super light for it's age, though certainly short on frivialities, this bike has potential for being a pretty haul-butt machine...

    Powdercoating your Silvio frame

Yeah... Maybe we could substitute a nice, single weld all around the seat for the filler treatment? Then powdercoat, maybe even offer turd-murkley orchid?  Mark

    MBB Lowracer

Not only that, but the more buzz there is about FWD, the more people will be inclined to buy a Cruzbike. Sometimes, even bad buzz is good buzz. ;) Mark
