Complete Di2 electronic shifting and Garmin Power pedals

I have 2 other SRAM etap systems - this was a third backup - and I need the money to but a new set of wheels! I just measured all the cable lengths and bought what was needed. No trial and error really. It took a couple hours to do the initial "internal" setup, but drilling a couple small holes...

MBB on a diet (9 kilograms)

I live near Asheville, NC. I live 10 minutes from the airport. If you can get here, I will take care of the rest! I suspect your version of the MBB will be a better climber than my Vendetta. Primarily due to the lower BB and higher seat. The perfect recumbent would have a way to move the BB from...

FD adjustment after changing boom length and angle

Yup, if the boom length changes at all, you have to loosen the cable and re-adjust. That is why I love the Di2 or SRAM electronic shifting.

MBB on a diet (9 kilograms)

Thanks for your explanation Marko - I understand what you are doing now, and I hope you did not think I was being to critical. You're bicycle builds and tests are fantastic and great for everyone! Keep up the good work. Hopefully someday we can meet up and do some testing together! :D

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

Compared to Sebring the NH24C course it a "killer" course, plus the weather can be brutally hot and humid and there is a lot of climbing (known as hills) especially in that first 100 miles. I wore myself out in the heat and almost dropped dead from heat-stroke after covering the first 300 miles...

MBB on a diet (9 kilograms)

Hi Marko, I really enjoy watching all you testing and what you are testing. I test all kinds of things as well. I do believe that you are missing the opportunity to have better and more consistent, reproducible, and comparable results by collecting and recording the actual power (as well as your...

    Cruzbike KOM/QOM challenge 10-31-17 thru 10-10-18

That is sad. I am hopeful that we do not have anyone in our Tribe that takes this stuff that seriously!

    Bike Sebring 2018

Doug, Here is what I could find on my Youtube channel for Sebring that I thought would be helpful to you: 2017 Century: (gives you a good idea of what the first 100 miles will be like) The 11 mile loop: (this is pretty good showing the pit area available - and what you will spend the most of...

MBB on a diet (9 kilograms)

It is harder in my opinion to make the power going up those steeps grades so laid back. This might have to do with your heart being way lower than your legss not sure. I do not think I ever "adapted" to those steep climbs. I did not train for them specifically, I just trained to be able to ride...

    Bike Sebring 2018

I am dedicated to coming as well and plan on riding the Century for the first time. You should come Doug - it is a nice course and setup and lots of Cruzbikers to rub elbows with. I have some videos I can send you links to that will show you what to you will see at the "pit area" for the...

    Ouch

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Heal quickly I have had quite a few front flats (with tubes) - lots of scraping of bike parts and lots of road rash - usually at speeds in excess of 25mph. I have had none with tubeless. My observation for what it is worth. I usually run between 90-100 psi in my...

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

You guys are killing me!!:( Sorry to hear it though - get well soon. You could still just come and ride the Century at whatever pace you can ride - just to be there!

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

OK - Who's going to Sebring this year and what are you riding? I heard rumors that Jason would not make it, and Bob & Tanya not too - and possibly Hardy too. "you slackers":eek::rolleyes: Jason and Pankratz off the hook due to distance, but Hope that is not true Hardy - you guys are...

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

So funny - unfortunately my wife would agree. as I have more than my share of accidents and strange injuries both on and off the bike! However I submit this little video of a ride a couple years ago in my defense showing my stability when riding with my stubby bars. See when I...

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

You must be referring to the "turn-around" at Sebring last year in the first Century. That was not because of my handlebars, but because I was in a gear too big and started from a dead stop and had to turn and go other way, and probably not paying good enough attention. Yes - it probably would...

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

It is not really as bad (or hard) as it looks. At last year's Cruzbike retreat Jim, Alvin and others rode my setup and liked it. Said they were surprised at how "balanced" it felt! I think one thing that helps the stability is that my arms and elbows are anchored to my torso. I am actually more...
