I think it is a 1/2 mph faster because the official distance was really 3143.9 miles (because lots of detours) and not 3070 as is shown in the results. This is from the "leaderboard" oh their website: Hopefully RAAM will come forward with an "official" distance

We are almost ready to go. We went and practiced the Glass Elevator decent yesterday, down to the Christmas circle in Boreggo Springs. It was 109 degrees there when we arrived. It was like riding in a blast furnace! :eek: Here is a video of it from the front of my bike:

Team are allowed to have more than one rider on the course at the same time, so drafting your own teammate is allowed. But it is a better strategy to only have 1 rider on the road at a time. I do not think you are allowed to draft off of other team's riders.

We each have a Quarq, and when not riding the bike it will be off, so only one should be on and visible at a time. Rotation times: Our plan is to ride as 2 teams of 2 riders in 6 hour sessions.
