Showers Pass Drinking System on V20 - What Do You Think?

I have three thoughts - 1) Much better than water bottles. 2) Looks like it might grip due to gravity. 3) That hose is pretty long. I'll bet the liquid warms up pretty fast in the tube (first couple of swallows are always warm?) What do you think about cutting the host just long enough to go...

    S40- Wow!

Yeah, I think there's way to much emphasis on "the learning curve". Makes people worry and doubt themselves. oh....hah...just read the rest of your post...about the part where you thought you were gonna die trying to learn to ride a sofrider. It's odd - to me, that seems like the easiest...

Riding other recumbents and a Cruzbike?

Haha, that was me! But we aren't to be pitied - a whole new world was revealed to me when I started riding my new weird bike and it was great fun!

The Vendetta just isn't made for cargo

Styrofoam, haha, yeah good luck with that! Pegboard might work. I wonder if the holes would produce any wind drag? My paddle weighs about a pound and a half. Let me know what you come up with! When I was first pondering the construction of this thing, I briefly considered aluminum...

The Vendetta just isn't made for cargo

It was pretty easy to do too. If I were to do it over again, I might use a thinner piece of wood just to save a little weight. The piece I have seems plenty strong. Of course, it's only strong enough until it isn't, so who knows...

The Vendetta just isn't made for cargo

I hope these help... The "paddle" goes about 3 inches into the frame. There are some screws that go from the bottom to the top, with wing nuts on top, to hold it to the headrest tubes. I didn't cut any holes into the headrest tube - there is just a flat piece of metal that I am using with...

The Vendetta just isn't made for cargo

Hey Ken, you've got one of the old yellow Vendettas like mine, and I have that bag on the back of my bike. To attach it, I cut a paddle-shape piece out of a sheet of plywood. The "handle" of the paddle is inserted into the hole in the frame where the headrest also goes in (I took out the...

What kind of attention does *your* bike get?

I get the usual "cool bike" too, but this year I get a new one....and happened and the funny thing is that it happened THREE times this year.....motorcyclists (I think they were all on Harleys) have passed me with their feet up off the pegs, pedaling in mid air.

New Rider Tip. Bend your arms the same as your legs

Thanks David. Yeah, they aren't completely straight, just mostly straight.

New Rider Tip. Bend your arms the same as your legs

I much prefer straight (or nearly straight) arms. More aero. Feels less crowded in the cockpit. Makes it easier to sit up a bit and pull on the handlebars if I feel like it. Maybe that doesn't apply for a T50.

    Fun new accessories!

Ooh! I found a good way route the strap without making any mods to anything! Route the strap OVER the brake mount bar, then around it twice and back up. It's just barely long enough for the Velcros to touch when you do it that way. Seems nice and snug. Update: 6 months later and the bag...

    Fun new accessories!

I just got my moose bag and it's the perfect size to fill the area under the seat. I do see what you mean about the strap in back being too long. I think an easy design improvement would be to move the soft piece of Velcro that's on the back of the back of the bag, to the bottom of the bag...

    Fun new accessories!

I'm just guessing...but don't the 2 straps in the back go around the frame bars that lead to the back wheel? If I'm way off...post a photo.

    S40 transformed into F40?

I agree with this. And the Vendetta is a beautiful bike. I'd never want to hide mine under a bunch of faring!

    Fun new accessories!

Thanks Mathew! Yes, it's definitely smaller than the Brain Box, but I rarely use the whole capacity of the Brain Box anyway. I'd probably just put a camelback bladder in the Race Case. I'll have a Moose Pack soon for spare tire, pump, etc.

    Fun new accessories!

I really like the look of the tailbox from a distance, but like Marc, I'd like to see some close-ups of how it attaches, as well as the back of it so I can see how the light(s?) are attached. What I'm having trouble deciding is if I'd like the tailbox better than the Bachetta Brain Box that I...

    Fun new accessories!

I am kind of a "light-nerd" and have tried several lights. I happen to have both of those Cygolights. I really like them. I also like the Serfas Thunderbolt as a rear light. https://www.serfas.com/products/view/669/ I think the Thunderbolt is easier to see from a distance but the...
