V20c build and first ride report

Really sorry to hear all those issues. Make sure you wash that sealant off quick... if it dries out hard , it's a nightmare to get off the frame.

    Mixing it

The weather has finally turned to the better. I ventured out today on a longer run. I had planned to try to get to the top of a steep hill today and bomb down from the top. I haven't done this ride for a long time and it always makes me overboil. Today , I got half way up the hill and found out...

2022 Vendetta V20c with carbon fiber front end

Not sure, there is a legend called Jason who absolutely adores steep mountain downhills. He regularly does double centuries and probably agrees with the saying no pain no gain. Let see if he chimes in

2022 Vendetta V20c with carbon fiber front end

For me the new bike seems expensive. If I was the guy that wants the win win chicken dinner then its a no brainer. I think if I had this bike it would only be ridden in competitions and put in its travel case the rest of the time. My latest build is the fastest. 12 speed , 1 deuralleur , no...

Eh? Your knees must be really fragile... 130mm that must be a record? Any smaller anyone?

2022 Vendetta V20c with carbon fiber front end

Curious.. how much are they thru the Dutch reseller after tax? I was tempted but I won't buy until Larry has put his thoughts on paper about it in detail. Climbing ability, Drag aero capability... And whatever.

    Affordable Power Meters

That looks brilliant... I found going up hills it was better to have my bottom bracket not so high so I put smaller chainstays on my V. Might not be so aero but better up hill.

    Aero Helmet Visors

That's because you are so fast. It's surprising how much stuff is in the air

    Aero Helmet Visors

I widened the vent holes marginally. More at the back of the helmet to let the hot air escape ... works much better.

Sebring 12/24 is on for 2022!

Hey Jim, you usually try the new kit at seebring. Did you try out the new vendetta? I would like to see your race report. Pipped by 8 seconds ... very irritating but at that performance not much in it.

Tips for Pedaling at Faster Speeds

Fortunately I have never experienced a speed wobble on my vendetta. I wonder if anyone has. I heard the best way out of a speed wobble on a normal bike is either to pedal faster or have your leg pressed hard against the frame. Either way sounds scarey. Make sure your wheels are balanced helps...

How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

It's happened to me enough to fix it easy, just as long as it's not dark or raining. It helps to have zip ties holding the forks together on the non drive side.

How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

Yes... rear wheel. LOL A few years back I tried that and the forks parted and my chainring fell to the ground. The only way around it to push a shoe box underneath the boom and hope it doesn't move

How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

There is that inteligent hub that's been designed with internal gearing, why not ditch the derailleur and just have that. https://classified-cycling.cc/how-it-works I suspect though , the hub size would not be compatible with the v20 ... didn't look into it. Perhaps the new vendetta would be...
