Sold. Unused Vendetta 20c wheels and build kit. $1,100.00, incl. U.S. shipping.

Hi Kurt, I just replied to your PM, before seeing this. Your V20 does have I.S. brake tabs, but I did find this adaptor with a short search: https://www.assolutions.ca/shop/adapters/flat-mount-adapter-for-is-frame/ Looking forward to hearing from you, Craig

Power Meter Recommendations- might need new Crankset

Hi Kurt, SRAM and Shimano use different bottom brackets. They look similar, but they aren't. Shimano uses a straight 24mm crank spindle, while SRAM's GXP spindle is 24mm on one end and 22m on the other.

Has anyone done a speed comparison between the S40 and V20?

Purely anecdotal, non-scientific evidence here, but... My S30 has always been on par with my V20, both on flats and in the hills. Both bikes have similar builds. The V20 always feels faster because my head is that much closer to the ground, but then Strava shows me that the S30 is just about...

Electronic Shifting and Replacing Brifters on the v20

I heartily believe all of the positive press about electronic shifting (fast, effortless shifts, easy set-up, a cleaner look, etc.). However... In my 35 years of cycling, properly adjusted mechanical drivetrains have never let me down, and mechanical shifting is not appreciably slower. If a...

2022 Vendetta V20c with carbon fiber front end

I asked @Robert Holler similar questions before the V20c was set for release. He told me back then that there would be two chain stay lengths--the standard length that ships with the bike, and a longer one. I would guess that the longer stay would become available around the same time the...

Sold. Unused Vendetta 20c wheels and build kit. $1,100.00, incl. U.S. shipping.

@cruzKurt , you are correct. Had Cruzbike been offering just framesets for that first order, I would have gone that way. But they were only offering complete bikes, so I had to decide if I wanted to wait (no), or spend more now, in hopes of recouping some of the over-cost a little later...

Sold. Unused Vendetta 20c wheels and build kit. $1,100.00, incl. U.S. shipping.

I pulled the trigger on one of the early batch V20c complete builds, with the intention of using a wheelset and SRAM Red drivetrain that I had on hand. The price difference between the full builds available first, and the framesets open now for pre-orders and arriving in the fall is $1,400.00...

Happen to Anyone? Boom Slips on Bumps

A clarification on what "grip paste" is (because that name is a little misleading). It is basically a combination of grease and fine grit. The grease keeps parts from fusing together over time, as repeated rounds of water, weather, road grime, and sweat can do, especially with...

Happen to Anyone? Boom Slips on Bumps

The most obvious issue is that 7nm is not quite enough clamping force. But you are right about being careful not to overtighten. I would apply a thin layer of carbon grip paste and 8nm of force. If it still slips, go up to 8.5nm, and so on in small increments until it no longer slips. That...

    Hydraulic disk brakes

I don't know how new you are to these brakes, but some of this comes down to developing an unconscious sense of how your brakes modulate--that through some trial and error, along with time on the bike, you intuitively figure out how much input your brakes need at the lever for a given situation...

A second V20c build and ride impressions

Good question. The fork and chainstay surfaces just slide together, with nothing to keep them from separating. I have not had to fix a front flat on the road yet, but if I were to do so, I would pull the thru axle out, pull the wheel out, and then slide the thru axle back through the dropouts...

A second V20c build and ride impressions

@Tinker I have never had a seat height problem with any of the Cruzbikes I have ridden, including the Vendetta. Stopping and going while laid back is not an issue at all, nor is sitting up to peek around a corner before entering. No special acrobatic acts needed. @ccf The head tube is a...

A second V20c build and ride impressions

I bought my first Cruzbike (and first recumbent) in 2015. It was one of the last of the gold Vendettas, known as the V.2, before the red V20 came out. But after retrofitting the V20 boom and chainstay, as well as the carbon fiber seat pan, I took to calling my V.2 a V20. Since then I have...

Help me decide: s40 or v20

The S40 is flexible and practical, more of a chameleon bike. V20 is addictive. It does one thing really well (if speed is fun, more speed is even funner). I have both a V20 and S30, and while I love the S30 for what it can do, the V is a must have for me.

    First ride - questions

After years on a CB, my arm/grip pressure is minimal, even when climbing. Over time, your legs and feet will become more and more integrated into the steering and handling, smoothing out the whole pedal stroke and requiring much less input from the upper body. I only put my arms to work when...

2022 Vendetta V20c with carbon fiber front end

@vosadrian I'm with you on that. My one spill on the V was a narrow, chattery corner that I had never taken before--a little sharper than I had guessed...grabbed a bit too much front brake, lost my front end, and slid on my left flank all the way across the road. I knew my error even before I...

2022 Vendetta V20c with carbon fiber front end

I agree that cornering on downhills is easier on a DF bike, but I have found that on the V if I put weight on the outside edge of the seatpan, similar to how a DF rider will weight the outside pedal, I can carve the corner pretty well. Keeping my head upright while the bike leans right or left...

    S40/V20 Cruzbikes

I have a V20 and S30. Both are comfortable, but the V is the more comfortable of the two. I had an S40 as well. It wasn't uncomfortable, but less so than the S30. Since having both an S30 and S40 was pretty redundant, I sold the S40. For me, it seems that comfort improves as the seat angle...
