How to make your Vendetta as fast as possible

Here are some thing's I've done: 1. Wheel covers: can use on on the front when wind is less than 12 mph 2. 650B rear wheel: lowers my head 3. Short cranks (145mm): legs and feet sweep through a smaller area 4. Mid-foot cleats: raises feet 5. No seat pad above the waist: lowers head 6. TT brake...

We could pull each other. Drafting V20s would make for a very fast ride!

Carmel Valley Double Century ride report

Thanks @Frito Bandito. I actually rode my V20 but didn't change it to V20 on Strava until after read your post (S30 is my default on Strava). Thanks for catching that. Yes, average moving speed was 28.3 kph and distance was 320km, but climbing was 4026m. And max temperature recorded by my bike...

Carmel Valley Double Century ride report

The Carmel Valley Double Century is a California Triple Crown event hosted by XeDapViet (XDV) Cycling Club. It is a difficult, hilly double that would have been one of the California Triple Crown stage race doubles had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic. This year the route was an...

    MyWindsock?

That must be it. From Zwiftinsider: “Watopia is located on the much smaller Vanikoro Island (also part of the Temotu Province), approximately 90 miles southeast of Lata.” So I guess Mywindsock is using weather data from Vanikoro.

    MyWindsock?

Surprisingly, it shows wind and CdA for Zwift rides. My CdA for the ride I did on the Tick Tock route of Watopia on Saturday ranged from 0.22 to 0.27. It shows wind speeds from 20.8 to 23.5 mph. I wonder where the wind "data" came from?

    Garmin lights on the V

Correction, 39 mph (63 kph). So I figure I need the lumens of a motorcycle high-beam (1200 lumens).

    Garmin lights on the V

Can you post a photo of how that looks? I need a light that is bright enough to go 34 mph safely at night, that will last at least 2 hours, and that doesn't require an external battery. I'm currently using a 1000 lumen L&M mounted underneath on the V20, and I like this position best because I...

    MyWindsock?

I subscribed. It says my CdA on my MTB is 1.2! Seems too high.

Waxing how long does it last.

I re-wax mine when I hear the chain start making a little bit of noise. Just checked chain wear and mileage for three bikes. Here are results: Cannondale Quick (wet weather commuter bike before the pandemic): 9-speed, 2661 miles, wear is > 0.5% but less than 0.75% S30 (permament trainer duty...

Definetely a coffee read... updating the motor

Yes, it takes a few days for its effect to build up. You’ll still have itchy eyes, but at least you’ll be able to breathe.

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

I’m 178cm and got the large. It’s a little too high at the neckline for me. I have longer legs and shorter torso. I trimmed the top of it, and I’m happy with the result.

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

Don’t sit up in a fast turn. One time I did that I lost rear-wheel traction and had a low-side crash.
