Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

There is a chocolate alternative called Algarroba. I have used it and can say it's very good. Oddly enough the farmers here in Murcia feed it to their cows. Lucky cows I say :)

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Sounds like calibration issues... surely you would check things like that with the prototype. If it's the ti membrane not cut exactly to specification. That must be impossible to sort out. Fingers crossed. Perhaps they can tweak the firmware.

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

My xshifter Kickstarter pledge has not manifested. I'm not impressed. Paul seems to have washed his hands of things. I just from now on watch Kickstarter products from a distance. Just got to wait for the power meter from iqsquared

    Sebring 2019

Tere is only one hotel on the race track and it gets full quickly , it's also a tad expensive. When I was there I used an airbnb in town .... I was late for the race and started right at the back. Best not be late as you won't get into the peloton. It's a great ride. If you can do 10 minute warm...

    Cruzbike mis-adventures

That's plain terrible. I hope you recover soon. If your wheel rims were carbon then they might have taken some undue stress with the impact. Is there any way you can get them checked?

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

Here's the pic... as usual I've jumped the gun a bit and swapped over to my QXL chainrings. They cost a bomb so why not use them? I'm a little unique. My strongest leg is my right but I prefer to lead with my left. So my left leg is always the one to push off and be clipped in.

    The quick and the dead

Get an electric motor so you can overtake the situation next time it arrives or choose a suitable route on a Sunday. (Probably not any burial services on sunday. Maybe limited as it probably costs more)

I've broken Pedro's. But lately all good

    Tubeless tires anyone?

If you pump up your tubeless tires straight to 100psi you are asking for trouble. Bed it in at 80psi , 90psi . I don't usually do 100 psi. But 95psi is just fine. Perhaps I should carry an inner tube... but I don't. If I carry an inner tube I am asking for a puncture.

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

This is an interesting subject. I have changed to a long chainstay so my boom is more horizontal. I have a curved slider so my bars are as low as they possibly can be (but still not as low as Larry's). I find now that it is more difficult for me pushing off on a hill start and so am thinking of...

If I can get my 20 min power up to 375 watts I'll do Sebring 24

Clearly I don't know the course. Endurance record riders obviously can recover quicker than most. I wonder how much that specualized bike cost... it was probably just built for him? Guess if you want to be as fast as Christoph you have to train up in the alps.

Sorry about your knee. It should heal up pretty quick. I took a look at that Strava data thinking I would see some high speeds but the highest was 56.2kph ... I'm just wondering if Christoph took a bit of extra time to recover on the descents. Looking at the results... impeccable. 567.6 miles in...
