Excellent ride and report!! Amazing!

Did my 2 laps last night whilst suffering from horrible allergy attack from all the tree pollen. Yikes. Still did OK I think. :-)

The new S40 in the current batch are equipped with ALEX GD26P rims, not Velocity. The Alex are really nice wide rims with a matte finish. 32 spoke, which IO would never run less than 32 spoke on a Cruzbike unless a rider was very lightweight. Robert

A T50 no matter how configured will not match the performance of an S40 stock. I have tried it. In reality it is more tinkering and expense than it is worth anyway to mod the T50. It can be modded but its still a T50 at heart.

I would love to hop in on one of these races but have to take look at the schedule. Sounds epic!!

Ugh. I had such a horrible performance. Screwed up knee makes riding hard hard. Heh.

Just wanted to put out another post - we are still trying to iron out some of the technical issues with forum signups. For people who are already on the forum and having trouble posting photos, etc - we are working on those issues as well. We have the web company looking at it now - so...

Sweet! For a guy like me who tends to lazily ride along enjoying the trees (except for the downhills of course) this has been a good kick in the pants to put forth some effort and actually ride for some fitness haha!

Now they are starting to emerge with 1x13 drivetrains. Sigh.

On every platform recumbent and upright it is my experience that everything is a bell curve. An ideal angle for a given BB height, an ideal weight distribution for great handling, etc etc. When you start to adjust out of whatever that curve is for that particular bike - weird things happen and...

GAH. Sand will send a rider down nearly every time. Never good. :-(

The older style chain stay clamped around the actual bearing cups themselves, limiting the selection of BB's. The new style has moved the clamps inboard, and clamp to the BB shell on the boom - leaving the shell open for any BB you want.

"More gear range" Also = GIANT gaps between the gears. Ugh.

Not recommended and any gain will (in my opinion) be very minimal. However the potential change to the handling could be very large. Likely to get more speed out of a change of tires and pressures I think. If the knees at the top of the pedal stroke are going much higher than your shoulders...
