    SeaBum 2018

Which keys do you have on your bike, the white or black ones. If you have the black ones I hope you are sharp and your tires are not flat!

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

Is there a way to block certain threads and/or posters from showing up in one's "new posts"? I love to read the kind of awesome help-each-other-out type posts that make the tribe great :) without getting bogged down wading though this sparring:emoji_fork_and_knife:. The topic is...

Silvio 1.5 to S40: Seat Angle, Headrest, No Suspension

With the current nomenclature the old Silvio 1.5 would be an S45, that is 45 degrees measured from horizontal (V20 is 20 degrees from horizontal, S40 is 40 degrees from horizontal, Q45 is adjustable but 45 is within the range and T50 is the most upright and simplest of the lineup. So the S40 is...

    Fenders for a Q-45

Well done! That looks like it will do the job! Thank you for sharing the 7000 word essay in 7 picture form! :p Completely unrelated to fenders, but noticed from the pictures, I had waterbottles mounted under the seat on my QX100 and lost one, not even on that bumpy of roads - it was within...

    Hurricane Florence passing through

Jim, that video is great and I think it should go in the blog. It shows a different perspective on Cruzbike.

Are FLO wheels really this slow...??

Good to know about the low flutter. If the spoke fins are bilaterally symetric then they would not be providing lift but would be causing least drag but if they are providing lift then they are going to produce more drag it seems to me.

Are FLO wheels really this slow...??

@tiltmaniac It sounds good but I wonder if it might be at least in part a unicorn. Many of the claims sound logical but the logic being used and the testing being used have at least some flaws that I see from a scientific perspective. For example, if the spoke fins work so well against head...

Disc brake options / using mountain bike disc brakes

Agreed. Rojo knows. And common sense agrees. :cruzbike:Max heat (energy) generated from braking a Cruzbike is limited by in absolute worst case scenario I doubt that we could get Energy of stopping from top speed - momentum based on (I doubt that we could get): -400lbs of rider+...

Are FLO wheels really this slow...??

Back to the original discussion, the bigger question is What happens when real world interferes with steering and what can we do about it? Let's chop the question up into as many variables as I can think of: Overall environmental : -wind direction, -wind speed, -turbulence, -trees, open...

    V2/K Conversion For Sale

The rear rack looks like a touring front rack. Am I right? Brilliantly executed. The front fork looks like it is on the normal orientation with the conversion attached to the front. Have you ridden other Cruzbikes? Does that give a major difference in handling? It would seem like that would...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

I commute. I have not recently cleaned the drivetrain. I just cleaned my whole drivetrain: chain, cogs, jockey wheels, chainrings. I have been waxing my chain for a while now, the last several times with just dipping the chain and without cleaning anything else. Here are pictures of the...

    Crash number 2

Don't want to create a pedestal to spout from but I would love to convince you all to wear helmets whenever you bike: Ever sit on one of those test chairs at the science centre to see what happens without a seat belt? You sit down on a chair it speeds up to only 10km/h which is very slow for...

    Loose Headset

Your analysis of that play being in the suspension sounds good to me but I have never taken one apart. I have mistaken the cable housings rubbing on each other and the frame for the headset bearings being too tight.
