    New Wheel Decal option?

Reverse Gear Inc. A recumbent clothing outfit here in Canada has a jersey that this discussion reminds me of "I brake for uprights" https://www.reversegearinc.com/product/tupelo-mens-short-sleeve-race-jersey/ Where would the decal go - on a disc wheel?

    Generic upgrade concepts

And a nice muddddddy / slushy ride. Would that equal a completely worn out $10,000 drivetrain, $5,000 worth of parts, "chain-guards" for dirty conditions, a pressure washer or a garden hose? And how do you re-lube those bearings? I know they are at the beginning, but these questions have...

    EXPIRED - Sofrider - $601 - Algonquin, IL

@Don L If you click on the first picture in the craigslist advertisement then in the zoomed in view it appears to have a front triple with two closely spaced high gears and a small granny. The picture is a little too far to be absolutely sure, but that is what I am seeing. Perfect starter...

@ PSter Welcome to the Cruzbike Tribe! http://cruzbike.com/forum/threads/folding-a-q45-to-put-in-a-vehicle.12481/#post-146795 See the last picture under post # 8. If you like do-it-yourself, this or similar is pretty easy, price is right, allows most maintenance - might want to add a...

    Diatech Headset Adjustment

If I can just help one person - mission accomplished. I agree, it is a poor design. It was probably a compromise of making it packable.

Riding in the cold (not really) poll

15C is my standard switch to for sure don't need pants nor jacket unless torrential downpour. 13C if the weather is nice = shorts and shirt too. Your poll makes me feel like some kind of super-hero or arctic inhabitant. 45 latitude is only half way from the Tropic of Cancer to the Arctic...

Folding a Q45 to put in a vehicle

Awesome work @woodguy I love your description with pictures They demonstrate the improvements made on the Q45 over the QX100 that I have (two quick releases for the seat instead of 4 thumb screws is notable). If you switch to waxed chain (many, many posts on the site but all it takes is a new...

    First Crash On the Vendetta

@ScottRadliff Welcome to the tribe! :cruzbike: I think another way of looking at the prior advice would be that for each of us we have a diffferent experience of learning but when looking back after experience we see that we had a pile of initial excitement that led us to push the envelope...

    Diatech Headset Adjustment

@kdc A caveat before I share my limited knowledge - I am not a bike mechanic. I have learned a few things along the way of commuting by bike for many years. What is below is correct to the best of my knowledge from my experience. The most common cause for a loose fork would be headset...

Folding a Q45 to put in a vehicle

@Kavman First, welcome to the Cruzbike tribe. There is a wealth of info on the site but no one minds if you can't find something and ask a question that has been asked before. Usually, something new comes out from a different perspective that adds to the overall knowledge and we are all...

    Diatech Headset Adjustment

Also, there are several threads which can be found by searching headset. Most are a mix of different versions. This is a frustrating topic because of the wide variety of possible answers and the finicky nature of headset adjustment. Some good information and background can be found at...

    Diatech Headset Adjustment

Hi @kdc I used an extra long star nut bolt (as long as the steerer extension!) that I had from another bike directly to a star nut in the fork. It worked like a charm.

    tight stem on QX100 riser

If by pry you mean put a slot screw driver in the slot just far enough to take a little tension I would think that would be fine. Don't use oil nor heat would also be my suggestion. Normally fork stem hides under spacer rings and such but in this case because of the extension, the extension is...

Taking On The Hour Record - On A Penny Farthing?!

That front brake! 'Nuf said. Brake and mudguards = 28lbs! They were pretty light back then! Cruzbike in stock complete build packages as of 2018.06 website data: T50 = 32lbs Q45 = 34lbs S40 = 28lbs V20 = 26lbs Theirs would have been best of the best probably at the time as it was a...

Taking On The Hour Record - On A Penny Farthing?!

Unless I'm reading it wrong, entirely possible, seems to be indicating that there is some kind of internal gearing at least for No. 3. Anyone know more? C3 looks like an ancient relative of V20 - just don't try to ride C4 if you find one!!! :p
