    They stole my Silvio

I chose the S40 because it is similar to the Silvio.

    They stole my Silvio

Recumbents do not do that. That is DF. I was an early adopter of XX1 on my (gone but not forgotten) Silvio. Have you seen all the derailleurs they sell now? What is the difference between them? My head hurts.

    They stole my Silvio

Therefore I am getting another one. Cruzbike had a S40 frame that somebody bought and returned. I thought that it would be quicker than waiting for a new one that has not been manufactured yet. I did not want to wait. Anyway I want a frame because I want 650b. Now that it does not have...

Please... someone talk me out of this upgrade

The @DavidCH idea is good for those who already have XX1 because they already have the hub. Anyway who wants Campagnolo, now their chainwheels do not have holes drilled.

A sign of things to come?

They are changing stuff again? As if B brackets were not enough. Where can you buy that?

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

After lots of commuting my Silvio has acquired the ability to thread a needle. Better than the Grasshopper. But unlike @Frito Bandito I am nervous about going through at high speed because I think I will knock the mirror off.

    ISO: V20, Silvio 2.0, S30

Cruzbikes are sticky. It is not easy to prise one from under its owner.

Suggested Thru axle Option for V20, S30, Q45, to stop chain stay and fork separation.

On a Cruzbike the carbon stay attaches to the dropouts, which is a messy kludge, and to the BB shell, which is a messy kludge. I like the one @Don1 drew because goodbye to the stay. Clean. What are all the brainy people doing? Inventing bikes similar to a Cruzbike. What did J Tolhurst do...

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

Yes. Spin. If you push the crank when it is sticking up you exert leverage on the steering axis. If you push the crank downwards when it is pointing forward you exert no leverage.

Maybe the V20 is a fast bike afterall

The UCI like stoicism a lot. They want their races to test the ability to endure torture. People on recumbents are a load of spoilt wussies who want it easy.

Maybe the V20 is a fast bike afterall

"I am bloody glad the UCI banned those bastards"

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

The bike is looking for potholes.

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

Yes it is ideal. Learn the tight turns. And don't push it. What's the point of a bike if you are pushing it? It's just an inconvenient version of a handcart.

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

That is everyone's experience. The way to sort out the front gears is to get rid of them.

    Homebuild - Super V15

Your ability to build bikes is amazing. Your ability to ride bikes is amazing. The metallic look is amazing. Do not paint it.

    Cruzbike S40 in Nairobi, Kenya!

@billyk means the picture of you and the green DF doing a wheelie, ridden by some sort of invisible demon.

    Used S1.0 pre-purchase questions

A few people, including me, cut the boom to bring the BB in closer. I am glad I did this. It means that the BB will be very high but I do no mind this. Most of my mileage is commuting on a Silvio2 and it works so well I almost forget the inability to do bunny-hops or trackstands. Anyway...

Tinkering with Gear-shift & Brake Levers...

Shifter looks cool. You could do that with a Rohloff. But I tried downward bar-ends and they poked me in the legs. Bike looks clean. That will not last. No mudguards.

    Vosadrian's V20 Journey - Australia

First week or so! Good grief! But then it starts to come right. Then you start to think that it wasn't such a daft idea after all. After a week. Or so.
