    Self-Supported Bike Camping on a Silvio 2.0?

Whatever you do, DONT add a "rear rack" to this bike with a lot of weight. It was not designed for that type of thing given the amount that the rear can flex - not only up and down a bit for the rear spring-arm, but side to side if it were to have a bunch of weight added to it. On those rear...

A Wrinkle in Upgrading from Sofrider to Q45?

Unfortunately there are no records of SN's for the bikes - they are totally random and usually on the BB shell from the factory that makes the shells. As far as specs - that can be tricky on a second owner bike if someone possibly changed a component, etc. The last handful of years nailing an...

    Vendetta Di2 Users

The V20C fork has internal cabling so that is where the holes come from. The aluminum forks do not. Under ANY and ALL circumstances please please please - never ever ever ever ever drill holes in a fork or frame - on any bike of any brand - either for access for wiring or any other reason.

Help! 2021 Q45 derailleur hanger slightly too small for AXS Eagle GX RD

No problem - - if it is an immediate need to get you on the road you can always take a Dremel or file to make room on that old one. The new one should allow for a perfect fit of that derailleur.

Help! 2021 Q45 derailleur hanger slightly too small for AXS Eagle GX RD

Michael, You look to have the original version hanger - please take a look at yours compared to this picture. Note that the new one has a much larger mounting radius on the flat - to better accommodate derailleurs that have a wider mounting face. You can see in the pic where I am pointing with...

    Slider is broken

Oh yikes. Sadly I can say for a fact that there are no longer replacement parts for that vintage of Vendetta at the warehouse. Hopefully someone here will have a spare part floating around.

    Pivot/washers

It would be any that is a 68MM English Thread style - SRAM GXP style etc. If the chain stay is the style that has two separate clamps with two bolts each that hold it together to the shell itself (as opposed to the much much older version that had the one piece/one bolt clamp that clamped to a...

At it for a month. Things they should have told me (these aren’t gripes)

All great advice above by the OP. Thank you for this post! On longer rides where there is little traffic, I always try to take a break on the opposite side of the road/direction I am climbing. Then when I need to get started again I am basically starting at a 90 to the climb - so nearly a flat...

    Pivot/washers

That is an older version pivot clamp bolt - before the new version. That one I believe was one that had a "keyed" bolt on one side to keep it from rotating. It was prone to getting frozen together as it has to be custom cut to length. The new pivot bolt clamp uses three specific washers to...

Does anyone else have a design Wishlist for the next model of Q series?

Following. I can say that belts and internal hubs won't likely be a part of the stock options - particularly Gates - as frames designed for that system have to be vetted and go through their engineers and design group to be considered for OEM. Internal hubs... Ill likely focus on compatibility...

Has anyone upgraded from a Freestyle to an S40 or V20?

The S40 will reward you A LOT more for your effort and input over your old bike - for sure. More efficient in every way. You will love it!

New Guy - lots of questions

Larry is (as always) super wise and great advice. I concur. You will love the S40 - it is my go to bike (and having the original home welded design as we I[pieced it together years ago it has a special place for me) and it is indeed the best option for being around other riders and traffic...
