We are up for Florida Bicycle Safari April 15-20, 2023
We want you to come too.

In June 2022 we gathered with about 20 other Cruzbike riders and rode the Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (Big BRAG) together. It was really fun.

We had tentatively planned to the do Michigan Shoreline West ride this year, and indeed we know of some Cruzbikers whow will be doing that wonderful ride on August 5th-12th. Unfortunately, Jim’s schedule will not allow him to ride Michigan Shoreline West so we will be doing a wonderful event in Florida called Florida Bicycle Safari on April 15-20th.

Robert, Maria, Jim, and other Cruzbike riders will be joining us. This event is based in one location. Each day, different rides will be offered. There is a 3-day and a 6-day option. The low price includes all your food, entertainment, SAG support, and rest stops.

This is a fun and accessible event allowing everyone to ride as much or little as they want while still providing a space for us to enjoy one another. We hope you’ll be able to join us in Florida.

It’s coming up soon, so please register on the Florida Biccle Safari website and let us know if you are coming by emailing me at maria@cruzbike.com. If you need me to bring you a bike to ride because you are flying in, let me know as soon as possible.

Hope to see you in Florida!

Sonnybea is very interested in the 2023 event.

I got some very sad news I wanted to share with anyone who has met Paul Lacy at our Cruzbike retreats. If you have met him you know what an easy guy he is to like. He has been dealt the toughest of hands this winter and he shared the Facebook post I am pasting here. His explanation and his wishes are all there. I thought the community would want to know. Peace on you, buddy.

I am the luckiest man in the world. I have great friends, I have great neighbors, great co-workers, and great racquetball competitors. I also the wonderful parents. Let’s face it, I truly have what people really crave…love, laughter and a life of people who love me.
I may have never been able to be around all the people that have meant so much to me all the time. However, they are all still part of me.

Here’s the crux of the matter, my body has decided to give up after weeks of suffering. A lot of you may have questions, however I ask you to save your breath. I will not respond. The only answer I can give you is I have stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma cancer that is now in my brain. I have decided to stop treatment and let nature take it’s course.
If you want to send thoughts and prayers, please do so. If it makes you feel better, it makes me feel better.
I understand that the people that will be most affected by this are my family..my sons Kyle, (his wife Ashley) and Ross, my granddaughters Hayden and Brinley, my sisters Jane, Anne and Susan and my brother Mike. I want to also include all the cousins and nieces and nephews.
Lastly, I would like to repeat that I am the luckiest man in the world being married to the most vivacious, energetic, loving and beautiful woman. Thank you Jody, so much.
I am not afraid of death and I am prepared to move on to the next realm. Thanks to all of you that have shared my life with me. Love to you all.

I have been messaging with Paul through this especially in the early stages and it is absolutely horrible to be losing this great friend I was lucky enough to make.

I was diagnosed with lung cancer a few years ago. I searched online for some remedy and found this:
Took me months to find that info, but fenbendazole seems to have worked for me!!! I took a quarter tsp of dewormer twice a day for a few months; no side effects. One year from diagnosis went back asked for another MRI. The GP and the MRI specialist reviewed the pictures and said the cancer was stopped; GP used different language regarding the 'black spot and scarred tubes'. If it really was cancer, I was probably stage 1. If I was stage 4 then I would like to try THE BURZYNSKI CLINIC down in Texas (burzynskiclinic.com). They have a "targeted immunotherapy approach" which is much different from chemical or radiation treatments, and they have success in curing the disease. Massive legal attacks against them have failed, I believe up to the Supreme Court. Burzynski clinic has had huge success. I've seen youtube testimonies of complete cures by his clinic. Call me smart or call me crazy, any way it goes, good luck to Paul and his family.
