+1 You could maybe leave the disc brake on the back, but the deal killer would be the mount on the fork and the seat height. Mark

Personally, I'd been riding recumbents off and on for years. I remember when they first came out with the kits. I remember thinking it was kind of cheesy. The cool kids certainly weren't building kits! I had been interested in FWD for quite some time. The twist chain FWD never did anything...

Fit the brackets to your wheel first, then do what you need to do to fit them to the forks. That's what I do. Mark

Just for giggles, I went out and pulled my derailleur off. I have a similar mark on my hangar, BUT... My derailleur has a e-clip that holds the mechanism together and THAT shims it out to where it just tightens up against that shoulder. I would guess yours is similar, Lev. Mark

I'd Dremel it out. You'll still have ample flat surface to mate up to. Mark
