    T50 boom orientation?

I'm not entirely sure that flipping that boom bracket is going to get you more space - my pee-brain is telling me you will loose space... Zip ties may hold the cable housings from being able to move freely against the sharp edge. They may have changed things since the conversion kit... but one...

Battle of the Brands - Bike Sebring 2020

I'll take that as high praise being lumped in amongst the down-under-lumps. (shh don't tell anyone) I'm actually Canadian - Close enough some might say - and I live in Canada regardless of the timestamp of my posts. We have our own Canadian bastardization of the million mother dialects that...

Battle of the Brands - Bike Sebring 2020

Highly experienced chooser of grammatical, spelling, and word choice errors (me) says: Spell check can't fix wrong word choice. Why do these rhyme: choose, lose, booze, Cruz, cruise, ruse, twos, And these rhyme: loose, juice, caboose, papoose, Dr. Seuss, Zeus, truce and these have same...

    Q45 First Ride - Knee Pain ...

Another thought. Were you clipped in on the HPVelotechnik StreetMachine? On the Cruzbike you would have used all sorts of little stabilizing muscles that you don't need or use on the StreetMachine because relative to you the pedals don't move, now you are trying to keep them still so all...

    PA Owners - Especially Q45

That's right. Give Cruzbike a call at 888-225-2789 or use the form https://cruzbike.com/pages/contact-us to start email chatter. They have a list of customers who are (more than) willing to let others try out, learn, etc. (Newburyport, Massachusetts is where the new headquarters is but that...

Shimano has patented a bicycle gearbox

If Honda filed a patent then the patent should be available. I'm not good at finding things on the interweb but if someone else does... I would be interested to take a look.

Shimano has patented a bicycle gearbox

I'm going to call B.S. on the bolded section. They may want their competitors to not bother trying to develop something similar but that phrase is much to broad to hold water. There are millions of patents out there a gazillion of similar derailleur systems that are all very similar, car...

    fairing missing from end bikeism

Hamish Barker had a fairing on his conversion kit. A Windwrap one from Teracycle that he had mounted for his long commute (42km if I remember correctly). I am the proud owner of that conversion kit minus the mountain bike frame. I also have the fairing which I mounted on my Catrike Trail and...

Shimano has patented a bicycle gearbox

I think we have seen Shimano copy good ideas before to get into that market share. They probably don’t need anything better than what is currently offered in order to get a share of the market. Especially because their size is going to work for them with name recognition and pricing.

Anyone who wants to get lots of responses to their comment should take note of @BikeGary's brilliance: find a piece of trivia, even in making a minor mistake you will get many corrections and thereby many quotes and many responses. Soon you will be a not-guru like me, not!

Why can't I sell a two wheeled recumbent?

When I was small we had a balance bike sized bike that had pedals on the front wheel like a kids trike. The wheels were solid rubber and maybe 8" diameter, the seat was shaped metal (pressed from a sheet probably) but we didn't care we had lots of fun until you couldn't fit your legs under the...

Why can't I sell a two wheeled recumbent?

As always well thought out. Your argument works for me. I also think trends seem to like to cycle (pun intended) back and forth so two-wheel recumbents will probably see a come back in another generation. Then the trike manufacturers will be asking what happened to all their business and it...

GPS and horn mount for curved slider

This is the front end of my Q. Behind the left crank you can just see the helmet mount that is roughly velcroed onto the chain stays - but that location only allows for my helmet light and it has to be put in upside-down and then rotated level. This makes it harder to turn on, harder to...

Cruzbike Ride Retreat 2019- in Kentucky!

@NeaL - you participated plenty on the forum and in the lead up and the time trials that became part of the Retreat. If you paid for the Ride Retreat and then were not able to attend then I say you are a supporting member, financial support, moral support - there in soul, spirit(s), $, only...

GPS and horn mount for curved slider

These type of things could also become a light mount for those older bikes (like mine) that don't have a light mount location at the front. @tiltmaniac What is the outside diameter of curved slider and of the cross bar (handlebar replacement) you have your GPS mounted to? I might be interested...
