    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

Yes, I think I have that one (or similar) in my 'cart' on Amazon (or somewhere), just in case. Robert H. reported that my curved slider shipped today, so I'll be experimenting with it soon!

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

I've certainly been considering that. As I loose weight, I'm also loosing X-seam. Let's just say that I have always been blessed (or cursed) with an aft CG.

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

There ya go. I'm on the right track...just need a package from Mr. Holler.

Trying to deal with Recumbutt on Silvio 1.5

I'm gonna have to do some Corsa chasin'... :D Actually, no way I could keep up...yet! I believe we met years ago on one of the "Tour de Arsenal" rides. I was riding my V2/k and I was admiring your Bacchetta. Small world!

How cool! I hoped you would be on the forum. We gotta get together and ride!

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

"cool enough" LOL. Today it was 32C. (and quite high humidity, so it felt like 40C). August is our hot month, we'll see days/weeks well over 38C. No corset for this duck! I wore a 'weight loss' belt for about 6wks back in the 1980's. It was basically a bit of rubber mat with some velcro to wrap...

    Slow Ride

I saw the Silvio rider again today! This time, he was coming at me and I hollered "NICE SILVIO!!" I thought he was going to fall off his bike. He said something like, "you know these bikes?" as he passed by and I said, "I have a Vendetta at home!" "OH MAN! I wish!" and he rode off...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

LOL. The tiller concept is just a thought-experiment at the moment. I hadn't thought about handling with the tiller in the 'up' position...really shouldn't be an issue. The Baron was initially a handful with the tiller 'up', one needs to be mindful about keeping the front wheel straight and at...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

I absolutely agree with your thinking. However, it is very difficult to keep from thinking about those intermediate milestones, esp. something with a strong number like "100". I have quite a ways to go to get to my ultimate goal (<200)...I'm hoping for January/Feb. Besides, the V20 is my reward...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

Yah, the curved slider should help me a lot (position 2 of 2). I'm riding fine...getting out is just a tad on the uncomfortable side. That will change!

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

The program we're on (since Jan 27) is 'low carb, low fat, more exercise'...so, all of the above (veggies, simple carbs, etc.) and we've been pretty much cooking for ourselves for the past 12 weeks. I'm right on the edge of having lost 100lbs. Just another couple of pounds...but it seems like...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

Yah, upside down. The additional rise is shown at 40mm (~1-1/2"). That should not affect my sight-line. The curve should be the biggest help. It may look goofy but I've always been the guy on a goofy bike anyway. ;) Not sure how it will affect my handlebar position...will have to go thru the...

    Silvio

Some time ago, I learned the 'horizon' trick...esp. for threading the needle between trailhead bollards. Whatever you do, don't look directly at the bollards! I probably look like I'm doing reclining calisthenics sometimes. I practice 'letting go' and slowly evolve into waving my arms...

    Slow Ride

No ride Sunday...but today I was walking my 3 mile "lunch loop" when I heard the sound of bike tires coming up behind me. I turned and saw my very first Silvio ever (in the flesh). I occasionally see a guy on a black Bacchetta riding at lunch...I wonder if he traded it for a Silvio? Looked like...

I have a mount for my Galaxy 12.2 tablet...can always watch old movies. If I move the laptop out there I could watch DVDs. I'll come up with something. I'm saving for a Kickr Snap...that should do the job.

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

I get a lot more "Oh! You're NOT handicapped!?!" comments when I ride the Catrike. Screech to a stop, stand up, walk around..."It's alive!" Recumbent bikes/trikes are getting more common around here. I'm noticing fewer and fewer comments. A few years ago, I was sitting on a picnic table...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

LOL. I noticed this morning that I have bruises on my belly from leveraging off the boom as I extricate myself from the cockpit. :( I haven't been able to do the Vexit maneuver yet. Even though there is now clearance between myself and the boom (about 1mm. Hey, I can see daylight!)...

I have got to figure out a way to do those longer stints on a regular basis. I just haven't got the bandwidth at the moment. 2hrs is about my limit...and then only once or twice (if I'm lucky) per week. When I get a trainer, I should be able to do longer stints more often...gonna be Fall/Winter...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

Ahhh. I took the V20 out onto the MUT yesterday afternoon/evening for a nice ride down to the river (the Tennessee River, that is) and back. Very conservative ride this time (mah arm is still healing up) but enlightening. Short ride (45min) but a good one. No AJs. Not even close. Adjusting...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Got Cyclestar mirrors in yesterday. Mounted them to the bars last night. Mounted one on its short stalk and one snapped right into the strap-mount. I'll have to ride it to see which configuration works best. Being as it is Friday, I may be able to do an evening jaunt on the MUT. "Lights" are...
