    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

LOL. I have had the large Tegaderm sizes sitting in the home-ER supply box for years. I rolled my Catrike at the end of a Century back in 2003 or 4 (at 30+mph) and ended up leaving a strip of skin the length of my forearm on the asphalt. It took two patches to do the job...but after a week, you...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

Thanks Jason! I'll go ahead and order the 145. I have a Wahoo RFLKT bike computer (and parts) in my cart on Amazon already. Almost pulled the trigger last night but knew I needed some other goodies.

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

Go to page 1 of this thread, pix of box I cobbled together initially...but just as an experiment. I think I'll stick with my minimalistic approach. I did not get the correct skewer...yet. LBS happily ordered DT Swiss skewers and got them in quickly (overnight). Unfortunately, although we...

    Rojomajig (Shift Housing Loop Eliminator)

http://problemsolversbike.com/products/travel_agents Very similar, maybe even could be used. Designed for canti brakes but...? I've got them on my cruiser to replace the 'noodle' on the canti brakes. Not as elegant as the Rojomajig but less than $20. And...there's the old all-aluminum Avid...

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Myfitnesspal No. Years ago, I used test strips...but I found I could easily smell when I went into ketosis. No need for them now...and we're not really doing a keto diet anyway (although it is very close, many days I consume well under 100g of carbs). My plan is to get to my goal weight (because...

    Rojomajig (Shift Housing Loop Eliminator)

Makes sense, Ratz. I'm going to completely re-do my cabling in the near future. It works...but I find I really need to do a better job of it.

    Rojomajig (Shift Housing Loop Eliminator)

Good idea, I think. I don't really understand the 'why' for having those stops there. Clamps or guides, yes...stops? I'm running a SRAM MTB rear D on the V20, so no rojomajig required...but I do have other bikes (some already have an original rollamajig fitted). I'll be rebuilding my...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

OK, adjustment evening. SYZR springs are now quite loose, float has been reduced. ROJO headrest mount installed (headrest moved back almost an inch). I extended the boom about 1/2" and slid the top tube back towards me about the same amount. Last Sunday, the top of my thighs were just barely...

How to be treated like a human being by truck drivers

I was going to paint my helmet like this. But my handlebars go the wrong way...

    New and Improved Headrest Clamp

Got my Rojoclamp yesterday...haven't had a moment to install it yet. Very simple, elegant design, nicely made. Well done! edit: I found 2min in my schedule this evening and installed it. Brilliant!

Why are road bumps so much more obtrusive on a recumbent?

Yah, I never was able to 'bridge'...but I can sit up so that my back is off the seat (like doing 'ab crunches') and that helps a lot. Problem is, you don't always see the bumps coming...and big ones can really rattle yer brains. Now that I'm riding a V20 instead of the fully suspended, no...

    Slow Ride

Being a FOBG (Fat Old Bald Guy), I always use a Headsweats 'do-rag' or whatever they're called these days. My poor old punkin haid sweats like crazy and without something to absorb it...all of it seems to sluice down into my eyes. The Headsweat also protects me from the sun peeping in thru my...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

LOL. I'm sore this morning...but not from falling over. My thigh muscles (top of thigh) are sore from pulling up on the pedals (make rounds not squares!). I haven't done that in years...and I love the acceleration you get when you're making power circles instead of mashing. The SYZR pedals do...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

    1. Yup, looking forward to it. 2. I'll have to think about that. I rode an Optima Baron for some years (with headrest, no suspension) and simply just got used to the vibration from chipseal. There isn't a lot of the rough stuff on my usual routes. I just haven't had that experience since then...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

First 'real' ride: 25mi 1. I do know how to ride. I swear. 2. Thank God for Tegaderm. Ok, up at 0500 this morning, V20 is totally ready, bars wrapped, shifting tuned, water onboard, safety lighting, etc. No tool kit, no mirrors...yet. Actually, I spent about an hour yesterday...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Interesting! I'm sure those would drive me crazy...my hand/arm position changes a lot during a ride; I'd be forever correcting it. I've ordered a pair of the B&M Cyclestar mirrors, they'll be fine.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Lets see...um, after all my honey-do's this morning, I wrestled the V20's shifting back into shape. I had gotten it all working nicely...took it for its first test ride and it required a good bit of boom and slider work to get a better fit for me. Of course, that hosed up all the fine shifting...

    Steering damper/stabilizer

I am working on a fixture (steering lock) design for the work stand. After nearly 10 yrs of handling Cruzbikes, I no longer even think about it when rolling one around or loading it into the car rack. Getting it into the work-stand and working around it is a different thing entirely. I typically...

    Steering damper/stabilizer

I like to think of it as a whole body experience. At least the software thinks everything is involved. After a good hard ride, it all feels like it has been involved. Sometimes I think my hair is even sore... ;)

    Steering damper/stabilizer

Hmmm. I'll just say that I use a squishy-software driven, active (very) steering damper that automatically compensates for all those supposedly nasty design flaws. It contains some really cool features that are useful both on and off the bike. ;)
