    New Q45 coming....

650b makes a great wheel for an S40 build.

    New Q45 coming....

650c is basically a dead wheel and tire size and has been for many years. For used recumbents that only can take 650c - I would pass they are not worth buying and should all be destined for the recycler. 700c in anything over 32c is ridiculous (IMHO) unless you are talking about 29'er MTB bikes...

    Race number 74 up next

Sorry all but I am out this week. The air here on the west coast especially in Portland is like poison and I feel as if I am breathing acid smoke through a toilet paper tube for a week. Its nearly impossible to be outside even with a respirator on and in the house the air is quickly nearing the...

    Great night at the races

Hey all - I am going to try to be there for the races tonight, but it might depend on the air quality - currently my basement where my setup is is rife with smoky air from all the fires here in the PNW - it is a literal mess right now. It is almost 10 AM and it looks like late evening time and...

Flat mount caliper clearance - S40

That clearance should be fine. All of these new "standards" they are cutting clearances very close on a lot of things like this.

    Shh! the Plan

So I rode this last night - just did one loop. Came in at 16mph average and times one loop at 19:40 Not sure if that is good as there was near zero people on the loop haha.

    Shh! the Plan

What is the mileage for this race? I can never seem to find the mythical information on the routes in the myriad of sites and stats. :-(

High Speed has room for three more

This Thursday is on the jungle route? Do we want to use the MTB frames then for this? Or specific wheelset (provided we have them)?

Pushed the limits --- Limits pushed back

Well since I am the TT frame guilty party thats on me - but I was still overall pleased and thought that High Speed kicked ass.

Disc brakes squeal loudly when wet

Sadly - welcome to the world of bicycle disc brakes. Good suggestions above on pads, etc. Some pad and retro combos squeal more than others as well - its all a trial and error game and local climate plays a huge part as well. What doesn't squeal for me in Portland might be the exact combo that...

Sign ups for Thursdays Team TT Trial #69 is open

Hmmmm... Looked at the map for this one. Going to really be stretching my limits for "high speed" for me. Not wanting to be the group anchor LOL.

High Speed sets the course on fire!

Roll Call for virtual Team race 6 aug

We'll... not sure I am in the "High Speed" category for more than a few k personally - but... definitely not looking to be promoted one level past where I should realistically be. :-)
