Maybe something to watch while you do an hour ride on your trainer.
If I was on a trainer I would not want to see a Larry video - too depressing. When you are going uphill and forget to change down - that is how fast I go on the flat. I think you must have jacked up one side of Hendersonville so it slopes.

One red light out of 14 signals: that's gotta be a record too! That just never happens, or maybe you have been secretly working on your sprint timing:)
Thanks! I think most of the stoplights probably only change when cars come up to them from the cross-roads. One reason I started riding at 6am was to minimize traffic. No sprinting for this old man. I can ride at 250-300 watts for pretty long, but I just can't seem to push much above 800 even for a few seconds. o_O That is Kyle's department

Discovered my boom assembly had slipped forward by a cm. Can’t believe how much difference it made to put it back. I was too extended. Now comfortable and power is easier to generate. Albeit with chicken legs akimbo.

155 mm crankset arrives today. Will fit after upcoming audax now.

Very happy with Bach brain box set up. Quiet and roomy enough.

Maybe I'm not as out of shape as I thought or maybe I have the first tacx neo that's fallen out of calibration. I was short on time after a crazy stressful day at work before needing to pick someone up from the airport so I opted for just the small radio tower climb today. Started out steady and quickly found myself in my 39-28 granny gear so just kept the pace up to keep my cadence from dropping too low, lots of standing just like in real life. Anyone on zwift who claims that climbing the mountain on any other trainer setting besides 100% doesn't make it any easier is just retarded or in denial of their weakness. Even someone like me feels the limits of my gears and my legs burn when I'm forced to stand that whole radio tower section at the end because my cadence drops into the 60's even in my granny. Anyways a few mins into the climb I noticed someone ahead of me about 90 seconds holding a stead 4.0w/kg so I set him as my rabbit and gave him a ride on to catch his attention so he'd see me coming. Had a nice race to the end of the KOM section beating him by a few seconds which based on the confetti over his name as he crossed the line pushed him to a new KOM climb PR, I like to think I helped push him to that. Somehow I managed to average 298watts for 29 mins which is about 25 watts more then I would have guessed in my current state. I got to hand it to zwift because give me a big climb and someone to chance and I'll drag out my best. That 13-17% radio tower is a beast at 100% setting just like the top of Mt. diablo.

:emoji_joy:I was wondering why I didn't this my post in the zwift thread but was too lazy to retype it so I just gave up. Then I see it over here in the wrong thread :emoji_thinking:

Don't mind me I'm just really tired:confused:

As a POLITE South Australian, I was going to be kind and generous, which is part of a S.A. (NON CONVICT state) upbringing!!

Did you get shipped to NSW in 1930, as a child thief, of a loaf of bread?

No downloads required, ONLY more water!

And our queen. God Save the Queen! May her progeny have 1/10th the skill as monarch and 1/10th the wittiness of the above bantering wombats. Then there's hope for the world.

So the Cobb 155 mm mid compact crankset fitted a few days ago to v20.

After three rides ....... two on trainer one outside. Initial thoughts.

It is noticeably and immediately easier to spin up and perhaps a higher average cadence will result for effort short rides. I think anything over two three hours cadence slows to natural selection.

It feels overall subjectively better to pedal at the moment. But that might be keeping the buyers remorse at bay. Spinning smaller circles seems easier on my knees.

Power is same. Or slight increase. It may prove harder to climb pinch points.

It looks to me not as nice as ultegra 170 mm mid compact crankset it replaced.

In operation it seems the same when changing chain rings.

I’ll spend a month and make the decision on short cranks suiting me.
