    better climber?

All things being equal yep just a quicker bike. When not going up the steep parts > 8% this ride was mostly a recovery ride effort level and the V20 just eats it up. 18.5mph average. The Silvio would have been about 16.5mph and there are several steep parts that don't show on this graph because...

QX100 for a customer in Norway

First Welcome a board..... On 451 wheels a 50T ring is more than sufficient to get the bike up past speeds that it's not safe to go fast. No problem pedaling 30+ mph on a Quest with a 50T/10T combo; 451 Durano wheels. You can convert to a top pull with little effort; there just are more...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

Perfect for letting the DF riders know you coast more than pedal when you follow them.

Climbing and bb height, low gears

Being able to put out strong power at 50-60 rpms would also helps but there is a toll to pay on the knees if you don't slowly and carefully train for that correctly Nice math work btw. Might be worth while to post the calculation details

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

I've been just dunking the master links separately about ten of them at a time and after they dry stick them in a Baggie use as needed. Doing it that way they tend to have more wax than the rest of the chain.

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

That looks pretty normal; as it flakes off it carries the dirt away in the flake. Get use to having piles of it below the trainer to vacuum up. After about 4-6 hours it seems to settle down and after about 8 it will be good and loose and fast. Shifting will speed the process obviously; the 11T...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

The master link are slightly thiner and they take the wax a little different. When they are close together Stiffing is a tad more likely to over shift and jump the ring. The boy over a BROL with the big heavy trikes have had problem with master links being a little less strong when climbing...

How to "try" to capture a KOM .. or .. Stop Light remote needed

Here's a dirty little secret; set your garmin for auto pause at 5mph. If you have a KOM with a stop light on it; if you get a red stop at the light as abruptly as you can; then when it goes green blast off the line. Strava will let you "pause" on a segment for up to 2 minutes to wait for a...

    Tire pressure talk

I will point out 1 warning; with the FWD; on the front tire; you do have to carefully test lowering the pressure; there is a point where it gets too low and the front tire will get "squirrelly" It's best to start 5-10psi below max for the tire; and learn how the bike feels. Then after you have...

FWD MBB with 100 degrees steering angle and negative offset.

That just because we've all been online for too many years and these topics usually go off the rails. However if there is a safe place to actually discuss this topic I would guess these forums are the right place. yet I'm not sure enough of us actually understanding the topic to actually discuss...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

It will be biased outboard at the crank no matter what so only shim if you need crank arm; and foot heal chainstay clearance; just the nature of this animal. It's not a lot more than a dF but it is noticeable if you are use to looking at such things. Definitely encourages me to cross chain less...

What handlebar comes with the current Silvio?

The part by the pedal is the boom; they are all curved like that. The slider is the part by the handle bars. they made a curved version to low the handle bars Curved slider looks like this when install. If I recall correctly it give you about a 60-65mm drop depending on leg length and boom position.

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

What finally sold me was having to put the bikes on and off the trainer; I just got sick and tired of the mess; and we won't talk about that black stain on the carpet.

What handlebar comes with the current Silvio?

I'm thinking that chainstay extension; or a curved slider might be your future. An extension would get the feet a little higher; you have the long term recumbent experience to handle that;not 100% sure those are still available but a 100mm extension would be appropriate for people 6ft+...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

Same experience here with all the bikes I'm rotating about 16 separate chains. 3 lbs will last me 24 months of indoor and outdoor riding. The big thing here is (1) it's really easy to do once you have a dedicated crockpot and do you first go at it. (2) don't make it too hard or over think it...

What handlebar comes with the current Silvio?

It could just be confusion on my part of your photo; The rotation on those bars looked like you needed to raise them to get what you wanted. If that was the case then you can raise the boom to accomplish the same thing. If you need them lower then their are other changes that would do that...
