What handlebar comes with the current Silvio?

Given your height you are probably a candidate to install a stem extender to raise the entire boom; then rotate the handle bars back to a more forward position. Here the picture of the one @Abbott Smith added to his Vendetta. Same principle applies to the Silvio...

    Question About Videos (Posting)

You are correct VirbEdit does not have cropping in it; it did, but they took it out several versions ago. To do the cropping on a PC you'd probably want to invest in Movavi Video Editor, it's about $40 and a lot easier to use than Windows Movie Maker. You do the cropping before the VirbEdit...

    Silvio S 30 Thailand

It mostly just feels natural for many people to do that. In theory You get more power if you can keep the toes pointed up but not everyone can learn to do it or likes it I still struggle with it but practice it more and more

Climbing and bb height, low gears

When the weather is this good

The guying laying the mud with the crappy camera always gets a better shot than the guy trying to keep his SLR clean. My 5 year old was very confused as to why I was laying in the ditch. She thought I was going to try and scare mom. That said I would love a 5k camera they have ones that can do...

Climbing and bb height, low gears

One thing that slipped my mind; I get better up hill traction on the Vendetta than I did on the Silvio with the shock. Try testing both higher and lower pressure in the fork shock an see if that has any effect on your traction.

    Silvio S 30 Thailand

There a log of different shoe types and it can get daunting to get up to speed on them. May people start with and stay with a Mountain Bike shoe because the cleat is recessed into the body of the shoe making them easier to walk in; and less likely to take damage from hard surfaces. Their are...

When the weather is this good

These tend to be accidents; I dropped daughter at work; and was heading back at 8am and though hmmm we could ambush mom. So the 5 year old and I started stalking her route for good vistas to shoot. I wanted to see if the iphone-5se camera was as good as they said. So I shoot some slow-mo...

    Question About Videos (Posting)

Both of the Fly's record the video a raw files you can grab from the them as USB devices. That works better than using the supplied video software it's just not that good. Once you have the raw files it depends on what computer you have; pretty trivial on an Apple machine to crunch out the...

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

Good thread, it is hard to explain dialing this in and this one covers some good point, one of the advantages of at least a cheap trainer is you can carefully work on finding a straight wrist position. My build photos probably don't help as we are smaller people and with the work done to get...

Stock V20 bar available in different widths?

Yeah the 3.2 is really too thick, meanwhile 2.3 with a tight over lap works better, and the 1.8 is almost cushion less, but the sticky feel is an acquired taste. Nice to see you have the frame dialed in

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

That's why I always document the first go; it forces me to STFD and not make as many expensive mistakes.

Climbing and bb height, low gears

Let's see.... issue at play which I can see you understand but for newbies' passing by. Power-to-Weight Ratio versus Torque and Traction at Grade is all that maters. Little gears give more leverage, impart more Power as Torque to the contact patch If you break the surface tension of the tire...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

300 seems to get just enough wear into the chain that he wax penetrates even deeper and it just plan runs better and longer miles. I can always tell the different between a new chain and those on their second waxing. They just need a little break in. Part of that may be my crockpot has a hard...

    what to wear?

Ok test results are in. I have done 800 miles in those shorts now. 1) I road with just them as bike short. 2) I road with them over Triathlon shorts 3) I road with them under Triathlon shorts The results 1) The are a bit too thin to wear by themselves. I rekon they'd last about a 1000 miles...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

A reasonable approach. Start with the Molten Speed wax it is the gold standard. Learn using just 1 lb of that wax; then you can go on the cheap with other waxes and compare; I think that lets you understand the trade-offs... (Good, Fast, Cheap) pick two :) Get the gold chain KMC X11SL the...

The Low Down on Carbon Bike Tech.

Yes there are BB30 external cups that with fit a BSA68 shell. My trusty RWC has some and so does Rotor and a few others. Tried to use them on the Yellow V, but the cups are 2 mm to large a diameter to fit inside the chain stay clamps, due to the larger bearings. It was a sad moment when it...
