Thanks for the clarification Jeffrey. I totally forgot no marshaling after Century is over.

They let the 12 & 24 hour racers off at 7am, and then let the Century racers out at 7:30. Yes - Last year there was a detour that caused 2 left turns onto 32. They were both marshalled. This year they will probably be back to the original route, but I am sure they will still marshall the left...

    Silvio S30 for sale

Suz - I think you forgot to read the fine print when you bought your Cruzbike and joined this forum: It say: you are not allowed to sell your "a" Cruzbike unless you have another one in the garage or on-order.:oops::rolleyes:

Recollections of my first 12 hour cycling event. Washington, NC

It is basically a woven plastic mesh type of product. It is a little rough on your skin, so if you scoot up and down in your seat a lot you can feel it and it will eventually wear a hole in your shorts. I have noticed on rides where I had to stop and start a lot - and do more seat scooting, I...

    how to stop wobbling

Great videos. It is really hard to tell. I would not say you wobble "horribly", as there is a little swap back and for with everyone I think. Ratz told me I wobble back and forth a lot. I told him I did it on purpose so no one could draft me! It almost looks to me like the weight of...

    how to stop wobbling

Hi Karl, I'm not as seasoned a rider as Lief - only been riding for 4 years - but I probably have about 60K miles riding a Vendetta. I even ride with an 11" wide handle bar. I did wobble a lot a first however. When I switched to shorted cranks (140-145mm) and learned to spin faster (90-95rpm)...

Recollections of my first 12 hour cycling event. Washington, NC

I am unsure of the brand. My wife found them for me on a recumbent "site". I think they were about $30 a piece. I have 2 pair and they have lasted 2 years now. I think they are getting a little thin in the back, as the Ventist "is" a little rough. :)

Very cool Doug! Yes, hoping Jim & I can tear it up and get a sub-4 hour again. Might be harder for me this year, as I am only training for 1 HR TT's so these Century's are harder then they have been in the past when I would ride one each weekend. What a catch - Maria as a partner for 24-hour...

Recollections of my first 12 hour cycling event. Washington, NC

Ed, I apologize, I did forget to mention that I do not ride with any padding in my shorts. It has been my observation that all it does it soak up and hold moisture. If you still can't keep moisture from your tush, then I have also found that smearing diaper rash ointment on the "area" will also...

Ed, The Ventist seat pad is all you need, and do not wear cotton shorts that can trap the moisture. All the moisture just drips through the Ventist pad and offf the edge of the seat. Best thing since slices bread! Good Luck

Anyone live near Carson, CA that could help me?

I am planning on making a test trip to the Velo Sports Center velodrome in Carson, CA - hopefully around July 17-19. This would be to test the track on my bike prior to attempting a 1 HR TT world record sometime late summer or early fall. I am planning on renting the track for a 1 hour private...

    Cruzbike KOM/QOM challenge 10-31-17 thru 10-10-18

Nice! Remember you need her to go after segments that are at least 1 mile long, or they don't count for Cruzbike challenge.

Keeping an eye on the TransAm race

Amazing. And from the looks of it, he can just about coast there! :) I am not sure what happened to Dave. He was holding pretty constant 150 miles or so behind Marcel, but then he just stopped moving for a really long time. He might have had a bad mechanical issue that he had to get fixed. I...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Thanks! I think most of the stoplights probably only change when cars come up to them from the cross-roads. One reason I started riding at 6am was to minimize traffic. No sprinting for this old man. I can ride at 250-300 watts for pretty long, but I just can't seem to push much above 800 even...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I have not posted on this thread in a while, so I thought I would. I am training for a 1HR TT later this summer, so this morning I rode 2 x 25Km TT's on the open road to see where I was fitness-wise. This was after an entire week of recovery. Here is the Strava link...

New Dates for Cruzbike Ride Retreat!

Brad - I will probably be there to represent Cruzbike in the races that are happening that weekend. I will bring my V20, and maybe even an S40 if I can get ahold of one.

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

There is a reason they are called "track stands" and not "stop-light stands", or "street stands". :p:p:p:p:p:p:p I just crack myself up sometime! haha
