    Cruzbike S40 in Nairobi, Kenya!

Everyone on a Cruzbike seems to want different crank lengths and different handlebars and this complicates it more. I just kept adjusting it until it seemed right.

    MBB Advantages

In going from a Silvio to a S40, I definitely notice the better handling due to the increase in stiffness. And I really liked the Silvio. I wonder how my Grasshopper got its name. Maybe I just need to get the cadence right and the frame will wang like a diving board.

The G4 Bicycle , Potential MBB/Cruzbike Diversification Candidate?

That Q factor looks normal to me. No duck-walk. I wonder if it has pawls, or is it like a fixie? Epicyclic hub does not mind which way you torque it, clockwise or anti.

    S40 in Vancouver Canada area

Sorry for your loss. Utterly despicable bastards they are. At least when they half-inched my Silvio they left the Grasshopper. Get a S40. You can try mine if you are anywhere near Ilford on the northeast edge of London. Not Ontario.

    The Cadence Conversations

When you install a smaller drive wheel you install a bigger chainwheel to compensate. My Grasshopper has 52t. How big was your Bike E chainwheel?

    The Cadence Conversations

How different does the steering feel? Are the small wheels noticeably more bumpy? Do they have noticeably more rollin resistance? Is it weird being low one day and high the next? I assume that you have to swap the chainring. How do you cope with the change in chain length?

    MBB Advantages

What @benphyr said. For those who do a lot of commuting, doing tight turns in a low gear, it is a bit like a trackstand. As have we all.

    Crupi short crank questions

On the Crupi website the only ones available are Sinz. They look like the same design as my Redline. They come with their own BB, like Redline, but it is Euro thread. Will this fit a Cruzbike?

    S40-conversion to 2x

I think that drop bars give you a more comfortable and more powerful hand-position than flat bars. I think that lots of people here agree with this. I thought that the curve on the drops of the Cruzbike bars of my Silvio were too tight for my hands. I am sure old-fashioned racer bars had...

Neon Orange helmet to match S40 color?

What is wrong with the old one? Old hat? Could you get one and paint it? Why bother with a hat at all? You could ride across Ilkley Moor without one.

Great Fenders (Mudguards) for the S40

I suddenly remembered something. Raceblade Long mudguards come in two pieces. Each piece is attached by a metal bracket that fits under the fork crown. This is a lot narrower than the mudguard itself. A one-piece mudguard may be too wide. The S40 has a lot of space under there, especially...

Great Fenders (Mudguards) for the S40

I used Raceblade Long on my Silvio. Now I have Edge Al 46. These are meant for 700c. SKS were not manufacturing Edge Al when I got the Silvio, but I think they are better than Raceblade. If anyone has a Silvio2 with 700c and they are about to get mudguards I recommend. Edge Al.

aerojacket cover on my Vendetta :)

I did this to my Silvio and had a very high BB. The S40 does not seem to need it. Maybe it has a bigger range of adjustability. I also have 130 cranks. I had 140 before. So I still have the "high BB, low power" problem, but it is exacerbated by the "short cranks, low power" problem...

    DF Bike? Never again

Downward pointing bar-ends poke your thighs when you go round corners. Okay for the track, but awful for commuting. Even worse if you have a bar-end shifter.

Home built low racer Rev HTX

How to get a powerful geometry without wind resistance? I can sympathise with this. I like to have the BB close to me, but this means it is high, and a high BB is less powerful than a low one. If I could only solve this I could smash the Hour.

    DF Bike? Never again

I am sure there are better ways of staving of the onset of osteoporosis than riding a DF around an airfield.

    New S40

Above are images of the back wheel. Above is the front. Rims are 650bx22. Tyres are Gravel King 38mm. Sometimes you find that different makes of tyre seem to be different sizes, even though they claim to be the same. On my Silvio the mudguards were a really tight fit. I cannot remember...

Recent Trade-in ONLY 10 MILES ON BIKE Ready for a New Home

@Doby Some more miles and you will be doing a U and having a guzzle without stopping at all. If you are lucky, there is enough space between your guts and your handlebars for you to lean forward. This enables body English. You are on white lines and not levitating? Try different drugs It...
