When I'm doing hard sprints on my Vendetta I'm pulling on the bars and pushing hard with my feet. When pushing with my right leg I'm also pulling with my right arm to counter balance and add power. I call this sprinting maneuver Yanking and Cranking.

Doug, I put on the 25mm Vittoria's I mentioned on the old Silvio 1.0 and there is about 2mm clearance between the tire and the rear fork crown. I don't think 28mm tires would work on that bike.
